This holiday season I’ve heard a lot of people talk about the over-abundance that has infiltrated our lives. Many parents exclaimed that they were going to cut back on the number and the expensiveness of the gifts that they purchased for their children. I wonder if they actually did.
Not Necessarily a Bad Thing
Abundance is not necessarily a bad thing. In fact it can be a good thing. Real estate is certainly one of those areas of life where this is true. Abundance can allow you to better meet your responsibilities as a realtor. And to provide your clients with better service.
The One Trick Pony
Lack is the opposite of abundance. A realtor who lacks business and is a “one trick pony” with few clients may be more anxious about losing that client compared to one who is servicing many others. That fear can lead to telling a client what they want to hear rather than what they need to hear. That often engenders bad advice and poor decision making.
If You Generate You Don’t Have to Tolerate
The above quote was recently brought to my attention by a team member. It’s relevant to this blog. A realtor with an abundance of business has an opportunity to gain valuable experience. That abundance can also place them in a position whereby they are less likely to tolerate temptations that are driven by fear.
Experience and absence of fear due to abundance.
Abundance can increase one’s:
- Security
- Self-esteem
- Confidence
- Stable of business
- Closed transactions
Abundance can be a good thing!
