Mastery

Today I continue on a theme from one of last week’s blog posts, “Death of the Part-Time Realtor.”  The public, now more than ever, places a high priority on finding an agent who is among the best at:

  • Guiding and consulting
  • Overcoming obstacles
  • Communicating
  • Negotiating
  • Moving the home buying and selling process along

Prioritize

Becoming an expert should thus become your top priority.  Easier said then done.  Many try but not many succeed.  Experience is key.  It’s difficult to gain expertise without experience in your chosen field.

You also can gain expertise with a systematic approach.  Utilizing a razor sharp focus on a target market and implementing an online and offline strategy.

Offline

  • Direct Mail
  • Follow up phone calls
  • Thorough knowledge of your niche
  • Consistent Promotion
  • Embedding yourself in the niche community.

Online

  • Blog
  • Video
  • Social Networking

All implemented with a well thought out and consistent SEO strategy.

Selling vs. Servicing

When you realize that you are providing a service, it becomes much more motivating to become an expert and much more empowering once you do.  In your mind and in the mind of others.

Do you consider yourself an expert in your field?

If not, what’s holding you back?

If so, is your client base aware of that?
