Black Friday and Real Estate

It seems that  in recent days I’ve seen more advertisements about price discounts for black Friday then I can ever remember.

The reasoning behind it:

I would never want to impede the spreading of love throughout the world, but I can tell you that the CEOs and local merchants in the U.S. are not lowering their prices out of love.  They’re doing it to inspire sales of new inventory or because existing inventory isn’t moving as briskly as they hoped at its current price.  Consequently there are great opportunities today for the savvy buyer.

Real Estate is no different

The same holds true for the real estate market.  Due to a combination of many reasons that we’ve all heard many times before, home prices remain off from their 2007 high.  An increasing number of motivated homeowners now realize that they need to price their homes accordingly.  So why wait?  Timing the purchase of any product for when its price has hit bottom is an effort in futility.  Also, if your purchase were to coincide with an increase of our historically low interest rates, even by a mere one percent, your monthly payment would likely be higher than if you were to purchase a home today.

Realistic sellers along with money from banks is as inexpensive as ever.  This is one of the most opportune times in history.  You’re an astute buyer and today is Black Friday – it’s your move.
